Message	pan has 4 trap doors... The point of the extra capacity is to ensure that the sump is covered in all areas in the sump. The issue with oil not returning in time poses issue but if the sump is never uncovered and keeps a boxed area filled with oil you won't have issues with oil starvation under hard turns etc etc.
